who is gandhi what is gandhi why was gandhi what he did?

gandhi was a person who gave the independence to india from britain gandhi he did 

that with the idea of non violence idea of gandhi he got kicked out of the train when he was in the africa but he fought back for it later for the equal rights 

i dont think that independance was all about gandhi cause if one person wont do the job than other guy would do it if not now but someday some one will do it
